New Site, New Name!
The site is being moved, re-organized to better help everyone. To anyone this has helped, there’s more coming.
We even have a new name to help folks find it!
The new site is a copy of this one and will be updated. I will keep this one as a backup for a couple months to work out any bugs. Meanwhile, I will be working on some additional articles to flesh out the RP Survival Guide.
See you over the fence!

A Salute To Gary Gygax

Gary Gygax passed away today. (3/4/2008)
I would like the world to remember me as the guy who really enjoyed playing games and sharing his knowledge and his fun pastimes with everybody else.
- Gary Gygax, on how he would like to be remembered.
(From a 2004 interview with Gamespy)
For alot of gamers and roleplayers, this guy was an inspiration and “icon” for his works in RPGs. AD&D was my first real experience with fantasy gaming and role-playing. E. Gary Gygax with Dave Arneson co-created Dungeons & Dragons, my greatest hobby when I was growing up.
Thanks to Gary and others like him, we have the RPGs and MMORPGs as we play them today. Before console games, computer rpgs and related - we had games like D&D to captivate us and immerse our imagination with friends. Great stuff back then.

Setting An Example
“If you must RP, RP Responsibly…”
Sounds like an old whacked out beer commercial, right?
Whatever the game we play online, we interact with folks. This is very much like what we all face in everyday life. You meet others and develop friendships, rivalries and so forth and become part of the world. So is the impact of our actions.

Events and interaction with others strengthen that immersion and help make the online world “live”. They also get players involved and adds fun to the game. Even the smallest of events, exchanges or actions help.
